Due to its ecological importance, Ho Dong Tien Cave is under the strict protection of the Halong Bay Management Board to preserve its untouched beauty. While it remains relatively unexplored compared to other caves in the bay, it is a dream destination for travelers with an interest in geology and ecology. Some visitors may even have the chance to join an Environmental Education tour to learn more about its unique formations.

Exploring the Cave

• The First Chamber - Visitors must pass through a narrow entrance (allowing only one person at a time) before stepping into a spacious cave filled with stunning stalactites hanging from the ceiling. The atmosphere is mysterious yet breathtaking, with formations shaped over millions of years.
• The Second Chamber - This passage leads to a small, shallow lake, where, according to legend, fairies used to bathe and rest, giving the cave its poetic name, Fairy Lake Cave. The calm waters and serene surroundings create a magical ambiance, making it one of the most mystical spots in Halong Bay.

Tips for Visitors

• The cave is dark inside, and the ground can be slippery due to water dripping from the ceiling.
• Wear sturdy, water-resistant trekking shoes for better grip.
• Bring a flashlight if you want to explore deeper inside.
• Be mindful of conservation efforts and avoid touching or damaging the stalactites.
